I am Ritassida Mamadou Djiguimdé, a third year PhD candidate in the applied linguistics program of Ball State University. I teach freshman composition courses – Rhetoric and Composition & Composition Research – as well as TESOL classes to students in the ESL licensure program. My research interests include Jula, a Mandé language spoken in Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and Mali, and multimodality as relevant to language acquisition and rhetoric and composition. My role as a cultural ambassador is a plus I bring to the table, and it serves as cultural educational resource in training “citizens of the world.
